I have always been into being healthy, not always living by what I know, but at least on a continuous improvement track. I discovered the book Nourishing Traditions many, many years ago at my local library, and knew it was filled with wonderful wisdom, although it has taken a long and consistent effort to actually begin using the lessons contained within it.
Fast forward to this year. My under one daughter (number 4 child) has been my “most difficult” baby yet. I finally realize that she is dealing with reflux issues, due to pasteurized milk that I’m drinking, and most likely due to lack of good bacteria in her GI track as well. Then we get thrush, and it does not respond to normal thrush protocol. I realize it is high time we get serious about our food choices.
We face a number of difficulties. The biggest is that raw milk is illegal to sell in my state. The next biggest is my husband isn’t always on board with me. Then there is trying to shop with four children (and this is not a light issue), and monetary constraints.
With all of this, I am determined to eat well, and get healthy. I have plunked down my money for good quality food supplements, and I am planning on using the Maker’s Diet as a starting point. Hat’s off to us!

Onward and upward Erin. Welcome to our little piece of heaven on the net. We too have trouble with raw milk over here in Australia. That’s why we buy it as a cosmetic. Cleopatra’s Bath Milk and Bath Cream. We get around it by saying we’re bathing in the stuff. I wish I could do that. I’d be so lush! Anyhoo, raw butter oil and cod liver oil with adequate Vit A and D are also illegal (they only can sell reduced vitamin CLO) and organ extracts also. I hear though, that a colleague here has got the go ahead from customs and the TGA (FDA on valium) to import green pastures and Dr Ron’s supplements. So fingers crossed, we’ll get away with getting some good food supplements at least. It’s funny, humans, like rats, are so very resourceful. We’ll find anyway to get what we need - so long as we know we need it hey.
Hat’s off to you. We’d love to know more about the maker’s diet so its good you’re going to let us in on your journey. Blessings
